Bucks Co. Man Charged In U.S. Capitol Riots

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A Bucks County man has been charged for his role in the riots at the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, adding to the total of numerous residents arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Christopher Taylor of Levittown was charged by federal authorities for entering the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, court records state.
According to court records, FBI personnel received a Digital Media review on Taylor in June. The review included a search through a database the FBI maintains on the many tips received from the public regarding the riots.

The FBI uncovered footage showing Taylor outside and inside the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, court records state.
Taylor was charged with disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly or disruptive conduct in the Capitol building, and parade, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol building, stated the court papers, which were unsealed in Washington, D.C., on Monday.

Taylor —who was not been accused of any violence during the riots —was expected to have his first appearance Tuesday before U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya, Levittown Now reported.
“My client maintains his innocence at this time and is a proud Air Force veteran and father,” Attorney Paul Lang, who is representing Taylor, told Levittown Now.
On Jan. 6, 2021, a mob stormed the building and temporarily interfered with Congress’ certification of Joseph Biden as the next president.
Bucks County had the highest number of arrests in the incident of any county nationwide. Of the more than 700 people charged, six were confirmed Bucks County residents, according to a previous Patch article.
