Community members, supporters, and students are invited to attend an inspiring evening dedicated to celebrating academic achievement and investing in the future of local youth at the inaugural Scholarship Dinner, the first fundraising event established to support and grow the organization’s scholarship fund.

The event will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pearl S. Buck House, 520 Dublin Rd, Perkasie, PA 18944.

This year’s theme, “From Resistance to Resilience: The Power of Education,” will guide the evening’s program, highlighting the transformative role education plays in overcoming barriers, building strength, and creating pathways to success for future generations.

The evening will feature a delicious dinner, recognition of this year’s outstanding scholarship recipients, and a keynote address by Dr. Samual Coleman IV, Vice President of Student Affairs at Bucks County Community College.

Dr. Coleman is a respected leader in higher education with extensive experience in student success, equity, and leadership development. Throughout his career, he has championed initiatives that expand access to education and empower students to reach their full potential. His work emphasizes creating inclusive campus environments and strengthening pathways for academic and personal achievement. Attendees can expect a compelling and inspiring message aligned with the evening’s theme and a leader deeply committed to student advancement.

As the first event of its kind for the organization’s scholarship initiative, the Scholarship Dinner marks an important milestone in building sustainable support for students pursuing higher education. More than a celebration, the evening serves as a critical fundraiser to help expand scholarship opportunities and invest in the academic dreams of young scholars. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations directly contribute to scholarships that provide life-changing educational opportunities.

Tickets for the event are $65 each and can be purchased by visiting NAACPBUCKS.ORG/Events.

For those unable to attend, donations of any amount are strongly encouraged. Contributions help sustain and expand scholarship opportunities, ensuring that deserving students have access to the resources they need to succeed.

“Together, we can invest in brighter futures,” organizers shared. “This inaugural event is an opportunity for our community to come together and make a meaningful, lasting impact.”
