Charles Boehm Middle School​ Renovations Underway

FALLSINGTON, PA —The Charles Boehm Middle School makeover has begun.

The Pennsbury School District has reported that the project calling for renovations and an addition to the school on 866 Big Oak Rd. is well underway.

While work is progressing, all students won't be in the newly renovated building until the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

Phase 1 of the project calls for renovating 6th-grade classes and science rooms, which are expected to be completed by the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

Crews are also tearing down the original instrumental music and choir rooms to make way for a new music suite, school officials said.

Phase 1 work also includes the addition of a new front entrance and office.

The new entry, expected to open by the end of December, will shift from facing Big Oak Road to the building side opposite the bus depot. The current office space will later be converted into new classrooms, school officials said.

Upcoming phases include renovations to 7th and 8th-grade classrooms, the cafeteria, media center, and locker rooms.

Updates will be made to the Family Consumer Science classroom, and a new STEM classroom will be added. Plans are underway for a new large group multi-purpose instruction room, health room, fitness center, nurses suite, and renovated restrooms.

Work officially began last summer with the abatement of all classroom tile floors and window caulk removal.

Drop ceiling tiles were removed this past spring, and temporary lighting was installed.

All of Charles Boehm is being outfitted with new windows, classroom floor tiles, and lighting. A new HVAC system will also be installed.

For the project's duration, the 6th-grade class will attend Charles Boehm South (Village Park Academy) to create swing space for the 7th & 8th-grade classes.

Renovations to the auditorium, the last piece of construction, are anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2025.
