Christmas Spirit: 2 Tree Lightings And A Parade In Levittown

Bristol and Hulmeville boroughs have their annual tree lightings planned for Friday. Bristol will then hold its Christmas parade Saturday.

LEVITTOWN, PA —Two towns in Levittown are kicking off holiday festivities right after Thanksgiving.

Bristol and Hulmeville boroughs both have annual tree lightings scheduled for Friday night while Bristol will also hold its holiday parade on Saturday.

In Bristol, the tree lighting is planned for 6:30 p.m. Friday at the corner of Mill and Radcliffe streets. (A rain date is 5:30 p.m. Sunday.)

The tree lighting features Bristol's own Don McCloskey, performer Ginger Coyle, local vendors and a live Nativity scene. Also, Santa Claus will make an appearance.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, the Bristol Borough Christmas Parade will launch from Farragut Avenue near McKinley Street and then head up Pond Street before wrapping up on Mill Street. (A rain date is for the same time Sunday.)

Meanwhile, the Borough of Hulmeville will also hold its annual tree lighting Friday.

The event starts at 7 p.m. at the clock (intersection of Neshaminy and Bellevue). If it's raining, the event will be moved to the Hulmeville Fire House. Santa Claus will also be making an appearance.
