Construction Starting On Bristol Twp. Housing Project This Week
Bristol Township officials said work is expected to start Friday on the Villas at Greenbrook.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —A major housing complex will be kicking off construction later this week.
Township officials said that construction is expected to begin Friday —or earlier, weather permitting —on the Villas at Greenbrook.
The DeLuca Homes project proposes to redevelop the site as an age-restricted 55+ community consisting of 180 dwelling units, which will include three different residential use types.

The dwelling units will be made up of three 24-unit apartment buildings, 15 4-unit quad buildings, two 8-unit flat buildings, two 10-unit flat buildings, and one 12-unit flat building with a separate clubhouse, pool, and associated parking.
The site will take access from the proposed roadway connections at Short Lane and Greenbrook Drive.

Stormwater management will consist of a subsurface infiltration basin under the parking lot and drive adjacent to the 24-unit building and two wet detention basins at the middle of the site and by the southeastern corner, adjacent to Short Lane.
The project proposes a land swap, which will reduce Firefighters and EMT Park at Scholar Lane to a one-acre park with the developer redeveloping this park with new play structures and equipment, officials said.
The park will remain a township park. The land swap includes 17 acres of the former Washington Elementary School to be dedicated to Bristol Township.
Bristol Township will work with residents to design a recreational park at this location and seek grant funding for construction.
Once construction begins at the Villas at Greenbrook, Firefighters and EMT Park will be closed throughout the construction.
Officials said they hope that the newly constructed park will open sometime in August.
