Bleeding Dog Found In Cage In Penndel: Police
The dog was found locked in a cage, clearly frightened and bleeding from the head and face, police said.
PENNDEL, PA — Police in Penndel are asking the public for help as they investigate a case of animal cruelty involving a dog they found in bad shape last week.
According to the Penndel Borough Police Department, officers were alerted to a dog being locked up inside a cage on Park Avenue last Tuesday. When they arrived, they found a scared, black pit bull in a cage, bleeding from its head and face.
Officers took the dog to Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center in Levittown to be treated for its injuries. After treatment, the dog was taken to Women's Humane Society in Bensalem.

Police are asking anyone who has information in the case to call Penndel Borough Police Department at 215-757-5152. They are emphasizing that all calls in the case are confidential.
