BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Motorists on I-95 and I-295 in Bucks County should expect some evening and overnight slowdowns next week, when work crews will be shutting down two lanes in both directions for a paving project.
The lane closures will be happening between the Rt. 132 (Street Road) and Rt. 413 (Bristol) interchanges, transportation officials said. They'll be in place from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, through Thursday, Nov. 8.
There also soon will be single-lane and shoulder closures on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges. Those will be from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. on Monday through Friday, Nov. 9.

Those closures will be so crews can install guard rails.
Crews will be working on a project that, ultimately, will repair and resurface 13 miles of I-95 and I-295 in the Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield areas. As part of the nearly $30 million project, workers will be overlaying and fixing up pavement, performing roadway repairs, installing new guard rails, repairing or replacing traffic signs, doing minor bridge repairs and installing rumble strips and delineators on both highways.

The entire project is expected to be finished by this fall.
Drivers who have to travel in the area next week are encouraged to allow extra time. The schedule is, of course, depending on next week's weather.
