Off-Duty Cop Seriously Injured In Falls Twp. Crash

The Levittown man was ejected from his truck after it struck a guardrail at a curve, according to police.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — An off-duty police officer was seriously injured late Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in Falls Township, according to police.

Falls Township Police officers were called at 11:16 p.m. Thursday to Tyburn Road and S. Pennsylvania Avenue. When they arrived, they found a 2019 Toyota Tacoma that had been going east on Tyburn Road when it struck a guardrail at a curve.

The driver, William M. Bresnahan IV, of Levittown, was ejected from the truck, according to police. He suffered what police called serious injuries and was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Tullytown Borough Police Department identified Bresnahan as an officer with the department and said he was off duty at the time of the crash.

"Please keep Officer Bresnahan and his family in your thoughts and prayers," the department said in the post.
