Candidate Questions

1. What is your stance on data centers in your district?

Public opinion on data centers in Pennsylvania is clear: Voters want strong guardrails in place to ensure that costs to power data centers are not passed on to families and that local municipalities are given control over what is built in their backyards. People deserve access to clean drinking water, an environment free of pollutants, and a government that is beholden to them — not to big tech companies looking for handouts. That is where I stand, and that is why I have voted time and time again in support of Democratic-sponsored legislation to enforce limits on data center development, both here in Bucks County and across the Commonwealth.

2. What would be the best plan for the development future of some of the communities in your district?

Bristol Township and Borough are thriving, vibrant communities where people are proud to raise their families and build a legacy for generations to come. I want to ensure that it stays that way by increasing access to quality housing. Housing costs are rising and pricing out our young people which is why I have sponsored multiple bills to enable municipalities to rehabilitate abandoned and blighted areas, to standardize statewide licensing and educational standards for home inspectors in Pennsylvania so new homeowners are stuck with thousands in unexpected repairs, and to lower home electricity and power costs for Pennsylvania residents.

3. What are some of the top issues in your district?

I have been proud to serve this district since 2010, and during that time I have advocated for issues that my community has told me are most important to them. Just like the rest of the state and the country, we are struggling in Bucks County with the affordability crisis. Grocery costs, fuel costs, utility costs - it’s all going up and we must do whatever we can at the state level to relieve the burden. Routinely, my office works with seniors to enroll them in programs to provide low cost prescription drug access through the PACE program and works to find tax and rent rebates for residents.

In Harrisburg, I have cosponsored legislation to establish energy efficiency standards to bring down utility costs, legislation to ban surveillance pricing so bad-faith companies can’t jack up the prices of groceries based on your private data, and legislation to protect patients from predatory billing practices and lower the burden of healthcare costs.

I have fought time and again for sustainable funding for public education ensuring that our children receive a world-class education regardless of zipcode, have supported environmental safeguards to keep our beautiful open spaces and waterways safe and clean for generations to come, and have been a champion of women’s rights including sponsoring bills to protect reproductive rights, to expand access to contraceptives and family planning, and most recently supported a package of bills aimed at providing relief to women experiencing menopause.

I do not take my responsibility to Bucks County lightly and I look forward to returning to Harrisburg to serve you.
