Friends Village offers community living rooted in purpose, belonging and choice. Blending Quaker values and active aging, we promote connection and care for one another. Our residents live well, engaged with the wider world and confident they will have support should they need it. Located on two campuses, Friends Village provides independent living and personal care in peaceful settings embedded in residential neighborhoods. Our Paxson Campus is in the heart of Newtown Borough, close to shops, dining and local events. Our Styer Campus, on Lower Dolington Road, boasts raised-bed gardens and walking paths for resident enjoyment. The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. While residents remain connected outside of our walls, our small size and intentional approach ensure that each resident is known and know that they genuinely belong – they thrive, make new friends and live well. fruits and vegetables, microgreens, pastured meats, chicken and eggs, 
dairy, mushrooms and gorgeous farm fresh flower bouquets. Plus 
espresso drinks and coffee beans, ravioli, empanadas, local honey, Kombucha,&nbsp; vegan, desserts, breads, rolls, pastries, 
pies. Popup vendors include Natural skin care products and farm raised teas and natural paints.

Charlann Farms

Join us at Charlann Farms for our fourth annual Sweet Corn Festival on Saturday, August 1st &nbsp;11-5pm &amp; Sunday, August 2nd 11-5pm! We love our sweet corn and really feel this sweet and crunchy symbol of summer deserves to be celebrated. This Sweet Corn Festival will feature corn-themed games/activities and plenty of fun for everyone! A ticket will be required, but once inside, there will be live music by The Country Mile Band + Line Dance Lessons by DJ Shotgun Jenny.&nbsp;
There will be plenty of fun for everyone, including our huge Jump Pad, barrel cart rides, and a definite favorite among the kids - our CORN PIT! We also have a Petting Zoo joining us both dates 11-3pm and NEW this year - The Fantastic Fire Department Philly! Children will be able to get up close to this fire truck, wear fire gear, use the fire hose and enjoy some water play!
Ofcourse, Corn Hub will be here serving up our delicious sweet corn and we will have plenty of other corn-themed treats and food. Ashlynn Distillery &amp; Broad Street Brewing will be here both days! Be sure to have an appetite for the corn eating contest, corn shucking, corn hole, and more! Pony rides, food/beverages and facepainting will be an additional fee.&nbsp;
We will have chairs/tables, but you are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs/blankets to enjoy the live music. This will be a fun-filled weekend for everyone!&nbsp;
Tickets are $14.99 per person ages 2 and up. A ticket gets you entrance into the festival grounds where you can listen to live music, enjoy line dance lessons, and kids can enjoy the Jump Pad, Barrel Cart Rides, Corn Pit and other games. Food &amp; beverage purchases are an additional fee. Pony rides are an additional fee ($10 per ride &amp; facepainting is an additional fee).
