Ex-Bus Driver Had 1,000 Child Porn Images In Lower Bucks: Police
Middletown Township Police charged a 75-year-old Neshaminy school bus driver on Thursday with child pornography possession.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —A former Neshaminy School District bus driver has been charged with having more than 1,000 images of child pornography, police said.
Robert William Derr, 75, of Middletown Township, surrendered to Middletown Township Police detectives Thursday. He was charged with possession of child pornography.
At the time of his arrest, Derr was serving as a bus driver for the Neshaminy School District. The district was notified of the investigation. Derr was immediately suspended and later resigned, police said.

Patch reached out to the Neshaminy School District for comment Friday morning.
Middletown Police said they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children involving a Middletown address last month. Police obtained search warrants for Derr’s Langhorne home and seized electronic and digital storage media and devices, the police press release stated.

Police said the seized evidence was analyzed by the FBI Regional Computer Forensics Lab and yielded over 1,000 images of child pornography.
Police said they were assisted by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, Falls Township and Warrington Township detectives, and special agents from the Homeland Security Investigations Unit.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled at 2 p.m. on May 8 before District Justice Daniel Baranoski in Penndel.
Bail was set at $100,000 on conditions of no internet access or use and no contact with persons under age 18.
Derr posted bail and was released.
