Falls Extends Logo Contest Deadline to June 1

Falls Township officials are looking for a unique and compelling logo design to help brand its shop local effort, “Live Here, Spend Here.” The logo design contest - aimed at selecting a logo to use on future videos and communications - has been extended through June 1.

Launched in April, the Live Here, Spend Here program spotlights one business a month in a video segment which is shared on the township TV station, Falls Township Website, as well as social media. The kickoff video, released earlier this month, highlights Thornridge Hardware Supply, a long-time township business.

“The idea behind this program is to spotlight local businesses so that all of us get a better idea of the products and services they have to offer,” Supervisor Chairman Bob Harvie said. “We know that by visiting these local businesses we can strengthen our local economy, create jobs here in our township, keep our township economy thriving and keep our tax base strong.”

Live Here, Spend Here is a joint undertaking between the Falls Township Board of Supervisors and the Community and Economic Development Committee.

The Falls Supervisors are open to promoting and supporting all Falls businesses. The plan is for a local business to be nominated or chosen at random. A new business will be featured each month.

How you can get involved

Even though the effort is focused on promoting Falls Township businesses, residents (and non-residents) are invited to get involved by entering a contest to design a logo for the Live Here, Spend Here initiative. The contest winner will be announced during the June 2 Falls Township Board of Supervisors meeting.
