Falls Twp. Public Works Director Under Investigation

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office is investigating Jason Lawson for "allegations of potential wrongdoing," officials said.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —The township's public works director is under investigation by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

Falls Township officials said in a statement Wednesday that they've been cooperating with the Bucks County District Attorney's Office since allegations of potential wrongdoing were brought to their attention in May.

Public Works Director Jason Lawson was placed on administrative leave on May 3 while the investigation was carried out, officials said.

Lawson, 52, of Fairless Hills, faces felony charges including theft, forgery, and receiving stolen property, and a misdemeanor charge of records tampering, court records stated.

Falls Township officials said they will continue to cooperate with the District Attorney's Office in resolving the matter.

Since Lawson is a township employee, officials said they would not provide further comment on the personnel matter.

Patch sent an email to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office Wednesday afternoon seeking comment.

Lawson has worked for the township since 2016.

He worked for Bristol Township for three decades and led the public works department for nearly 10 years.
