Libraries Add School Desk Bikes
Meanwhile, the school district is making it easier for Pennsbury High School students with jam-packed schedules to squeeze in some exercise.
Both PHS East and West libraries have recently introduced two desk bikes each.
The desk bikes are courtesy of High School Campus Principal Reggie Meadows.
School officials said the additions allow students to read or work while staying active throughout the day. With adjustable resistance and the ability to track calories and distance, the bikes are already a hit among students.
"Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with students noting how the bikes have helped with focus, and student-athletes appreciating the rejuvenating reprieve," school officials said. "Librarians Rita Ann Thompson and Lynn Wambach are thrilled by their popularity and the positive impact they're having on student wellness."
