Fix In For 'Nightmare' Bucks Intersections: Report

LEVITTOWN, PA — "Nightmare" intersections that cross Falls and Middletown Townships are getting an overhaul.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation plans to spend $11.3 million to fix two of Bucks County's most troubled intersections, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. The project could take up to four years to complete.

One area resident, who works in Langhorne, called the intersection of Oxford Valley and Bristol-Oxford Valley roads a "nightmare" in the story.

The intersection is a major crossing with Lincoln Highway and Oxford Valley.

PennDOT will fix the intersections that cross Falls and Middletown townships — the other being North Oxford Valley Road and Bristol Oxford Valley Road — because have high accident rates, don't meet PennDOT standards nor comply with the American with Disabilities Act regarding ramps, the report said.
