Free Lunch Friday In Levittown

Big Q BBQ owner Drew Abruzzese, a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, is hoping giving away free food will help change his hometown NFL team’s luck.

The restaurant will be giving away smoked buffalo burgers on Friday, Nov. 20 from noon to 2 p.m. Big Q BBQ is located at 1140 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road (at the corner of Woodbourne Road) in Levittown.

“We’ve been planning to introduce a burger since we opened last July,” quipped Abruzzese. “After this Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins, we decided it’s time to do something to change the karma of our beloved birds. We’re excited to introduce our new smoked buffalo burger for free the Friday before the Eagles head down the stretch into the final weeks of the season. We couldn’t smoke a Buccaneer, Lion, Patriot, Cardinal, Redskin or Giant, so we picked on Buffalo, who we’ll play in about a month. If this offer changes the team’s momentum, we will giveaway something every Friday from noon to 2 p.m. until the team loses,” Abruzzese said.

Biq Q BBQ is new to the Levittown dining scene.

The quick-serve drive-thru opened in July. It specializes in midwest barbecue, featuring breakfast sandwiches and doughnuts from 7 to 10:30 a.m., and smoked pork, chicken, ribs, brisket, fried chicken and savory side dishes until 9 p.m.
