Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued, 1-2 Inches Of Snow Possible: NWS

The snow could impact the Friday morning commute, the National Weather Service said.

Light snow is possible Thursday night into Friday morning, the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued Wednesday. About 1 to 2 inches could fall, impacting the morning commute, according to forecasters.

“There is the potential for light snow from Thursday night into Friday morning. Accumulations of up to an inch or two are possible,” according to the NWS.

The Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for the following eastern Pennsylvania counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Lehigh and Northampton.

There is also the possibility for strong winds during the day Wednesday. Additonally, there is a 30 percent chance of more snow Saturday.

Here is the forecast:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 23. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Thursday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 38. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Snow likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 8 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Friday: Snow likely before 10am, then a chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 41.

Saturday Night: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
