House Explosion Under Investigation In Lower Bucks

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A home explosion over the weekend in Middletown Township is now under investigation, authorities said.

The Middletown Township Police Department said there was a "really loud explosion" in the Snowball Gate development section of Levittown.

There were no injuries, authorities said.

Police said the Bucks County 911 center was being flooded with calls "in regards to this noise."

Middletown Township Police posted on its Facebook page that there was a house fire due to an explosion on Silver Spruce Road.

The residents were not home and the three dogs were rescued from the property, police said.

Fire officials and police are conducting investigations into the incident.
