MIDDLETOWN, PA — Lanes on Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 in Bucks County will be closed next week as crews work on a project to repair and resurface highways.

Single-lane closures are planned in both directions at locations between the Academy Road and Rt. 332 (Newtown-Yardley) interchanges. They'll be in place Monday, April 15, through Friday, April 19, from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. each night.

PennDOT says crews will be doing sub-base and guard rail installation as part of a project to improve 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 because backups and delays are expected to occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

As part of this project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement, performing base repairs, installing new guide rail, repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs, performing minor bridge deck repairs and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
