The Langhorne Hotel Closing After 54 Years

LANGHORNE BOROUGH, PA — After more than five decades, the iconic Langhorne Hotel is closing its doors.

The Asta family, the hotel's longtime owners, has decided to shut the doors of the historic business after 54 years. The business is expected to be sold.

But its owners are going out with a party on Sunday to celebrate the business.

The bar and restaurant’s final full day under the current ownership is scheduled for Saturday, with a farewell party from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.

“After 54 incredible years, the time has come for us to close our doors,” the family wrote to its customers. “As difficult as this decision has been, we know it is the right time to close this chapter.”

The hotel is one of Bucks County’s oldest continuously operating inns, with roots dating back to 1704.

Over the next century, the building underwent multiple architectural changes, evolving from a small two-and-a-half-story tavern with a peaked roof into a three-story flat-roofed structure with additions

The Asta family expressed gratitude to staff, vendors, and patrons for turning the tavern into a community staple.

“Our tavern has never been just a place to eat or grab a drink — it has been a gathering place where stories were shared, friendships were made, and memories were created,” the family’s letter stated.
