Langhorne School Closed Due To Power Outage

The power transformer failed Monday evening, just as the area was coming out of a winter-storm warming.

LANGHORNE, PA — A middle school in Langhorne was closed Tuesday after a power outage there.

Maple Point Middle School, at 2250 Langhorne Yardley Rd., was closed after a power transformer failed in the building, Neshaminy School District officials announced late Monday night.

The outage only impacted Maple Point and no other schools. Office and central district office staffers were instructed to report at their usual times, as limited power in the building allowed for the use of phones, computers and other necessities.
