Levittown Man Faces Child Pornography Charges

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A 53-year-old Levittown man has been charged with child pornography and related charges, police said.

Walter Fred Godwin, 53, of Mill Creek Road, faces charges of possession of child pornography, possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, the Falls Township Police Department said.

He was preliminarily arraigned before Judge Frank Peranteau and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail with 10 percent with a non-monetary condition of no contact with minors.

Falls Township Police said they received a Cyber Tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children alleging an account user from Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. saved, shared, or uploaded pornographic media files.

The investigation led to Godwin being the suspected account holder.

Police reviewed the suspected child pornography reported in the Cyber Tips files.

One depicted a prepubescent female about 7-10 years old laying on her stomach exposing her vagina and anus, police said.

Another file depicted a prepubescent female about 7- 10 years old standing up with her arms behind her back. She is naked exposing her breasts and vagina.

A search warrant for Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. regarding the user account found multiple images of child pornography of prepubescent children ranging from 5-11 years old naked and/or performing sexual acts.

On Thursday, Dec. 7, township detectives and a special agent from Homeland Security served a search warrant on Godwin's Mill Creek Road Apartment and located his phone.

Police said the phone had a password-protected folder that contained images of child pornography.

Two were images of:

• Prepubescent female approximately 7-9 years old naked on her hands and knees exposing her vagina and anus.
• Prepubescent female approximately 9-11 years old naked in what appears to be a shower exposing her breasts and vagina.

Detective Ronald MacPherson and Detective Sgt. Callahan interviewed Godwin, who said he has come across child pornography, but he was looking for young teens.

MacPherson asked Godwin if there was child pornography on his cell phone and he said, "I sure hope not." Godwin then said, "There may be four, four pictures of younger chicks."
