Levittown's Pack 123, Troop 123 and Crew 154 Hold Successful Scouting for Food Drive

Pack 123 cub scouts, Troop 123 boy scouts and Crew 154 ventures from Levittown combined forces to run a successful Scouting for Food Drive.

The cub scouts of Pack 123, boy scouts of Troop 123 and the venturers of Crew 154 in Levittown have made the the holiday season a lot brighter for those in the community who are food insecure. Working together, and with the support of their families and adult leaders, these young people collected food donations in their neighborhoods for delivery to several area food banks.

Pack 123’s Christina Reams said the drive was very successful. The group was able to fill several trailer loads and pickup trucks using a human chain to move the almost 5000 pounds of non-perishable food items from cars to trailers and then into the various donations sites.

This year, they collected enough food to support several area programs. Deliveries were made to food pantry at the First Presbyterian Church of Levittown, the Newportville Community Church Food Bank, the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, the Bristol Borough Active Adult Center and the Joseph A. Schumacher VFW Post 1597 in Croydon.
