Levittown's Pack 316 Completes a Successful Scouting for Food Drive

Cub Scouts from Pearl Buck Elementary School's Pack 316 are brightening the holiday for those in need, one bag at a time.

Cub scouts from Pack 316 hit the neighborhoods of Cider Knoll and Highland Gate in Middletown Township earlier this month. The cub scouts called on their neighbors in a bid to collect non-perishable food items as part of Washington Crossing Council’s Scouting for Food event.

Cubmaster Chris Simcox reports that the response of the community was very generous. 700 pounds of food was collected by the boys and donated to the Levittown Food Shelter located at Christ United Methodist Church.

Pack 316 is chartered by the Pearl Buck Elementary School PTO. For information about scouting in Bucks County, please visit http://washingtoncrossingbsa.org
