Local Business Spotlight: Big Q BBQ

A Levittown restaurant is redefining the way fast food is done with a “fast barbecue” experience for people who want a high quality meal.

Big Q BBQ, which opened two months ago but held an official grand opening celebration earlier this month, is owned Drew Abruzzese of The Pineville Tavern. The restaurant’s menu includes all the standard favorites, including brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, fish sandwiches and family platters.

“We wanted to serve the same quality food that’s made at home from scratch, but we wanted to serve it for the masses,” Abruzzese said. “People shouldn’t have to sacrifice a good barbecue meal because they’re too busy.”

Since Big Q BBQ opened at the end of July, it has enjoyed an overwhelming response, Abruzzese says.

He says his restaurant is built on a unique principle of catering to people who have trouble fitting quality food into their busy lives.
