Man, 28, Killed In Hit-And-Run In Bristol Township
Bristol Township Police are investigating the fatal crash on Haines Road Friday. The car was later abandoned in a wooded area.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —Bristol Township Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that killed a 28-year-old man on Haines Road Friday night.
The Bristol Township Police Department said that Bucks County Police Radio received a call from a passing motorist who reported a pedestrian was struck in the area of Royal Park Apartments, 1522 Haines Rd. around 10:18 p.m. Friday.
Upon arrival, officers located a 28-year-old man in the northbound lane of Haines Road, just south of Royal Park Apartments, Lt. Sean Cosgrove said. He said that EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police spoke with the motorist, who had remained on the scene.
The motorist said he was traveling northbound on Haines Road, approaching the apartment complex, and passed by the victim, who was riding a skateboard in the roadway. He further stated a red Kia sedan then passed by him traveling southbound, and after the vehicle passed by he heard a loud noise/bang.

The motorist said he turned around to investigate and saw the victim in the northbound lane not moving. He also observed the red Kia Sedan make a U-turn and travel back toward the victim, police said.
The motorist said the driver of the red Kia, which now had severe front-end damage, failed to stop and drove by the victim. He last saw the vehicle traveling northbound on Haines Road, police said.
On Saturday, around 7:01 a.m., a local resident called Bucks County Police Radio and reported they found a red Kia K5 sedan bearing a Pennsylvania registration plate abandoned in a wooded area off Scholar Lane.
Officers responded to the scene and the vehicle was secured as evidence.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Edgely Fire Department, Croydon Fire Department, Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, and Bristol Township Fire Police.
