BENSALEM, PA — Additional details involving a fatal crash that closed the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem early Saturday have been released. Officials say a 51-year-old man got out of his car following a crash with a tractor trailer around 2:50 a.m.

The man, 51, was then killed by traffic upon exiting his car.

The initial crash happened at milepost 350.7 westbound in Bensalem, the Trentonian reported.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released and no other injuries were reported.

The fatal incident caused the closure of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Willow Grove and Bensalem for several hours Saturday morning.
