Whitney said officers first investigated reports that the shooting happened in the area of Old Bristol Pike, but found those reports to be false. After getting a search warrant for the Anders Drive home, detectives collected evidence including multiple firearms and bullet fragments.
With the help of firefighters, they were able to access a gun safe in the home, Whitney said.
