Man Stabbed Trying To Thwart Falls Twp. Robbery: Police

Falls Township Police said the incident occured early Saturday morning outside the Pennsbury Woods Apartments.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A township man was stabbed during a robbery outside an apartment complex early Saturday morning, police said.

The Falls Township Police Department responded to Pennsbury Woods Apartments, 9000 block New Falls Road in Levittown, to investigate an attempted robbery.

Police said a 43-year-old man who lives in the complex reported that at 1 a.m. Saturday he was walking to his parked vehicle when he was accosted by a six-foot tall, thin black man, who appeared to be in his 30s, with short black hair, wearing jeans, a white shirt, and tan Timberland boots.

Police said the man showed a handgun and demanded the victim's keys and wallet.

The victim tried to fight off the man and sustained defensive wounds as well as a stab wound to his abdomen, caused by an unknown item/weapon. The suspect fled on foot and was not apprehended, police said.

The victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, N.J., for treatment, police said.
