Middletown Township's July 4 Parade is Friday

The route will go from Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Highway to Twin Oaks Park at Trenton and Woodbourne roads.

Middletown will be having its third annual 4th of July parade on Friday starting at 9 am.

The parade will begin with an opening ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, 700 Veterans Highway in Levittown.  

The parade will feature musical acts, including Old Barracks Fife & Drum Corps, Uptown String Band, the Tri-County Band, the Bux-Mont Squires, Big Whiskey and the Mango Men.

There will also be Girls and Boy Scouts, sports teams, fire companies, ambulance and rescue squads, police departments, veterans, military vehicles, antique cars, stilt walkers, families and kids in wagons and patriotically decorated floats.

The route will go from Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Highway to Twin Oaks Park at Trenton and Woodbourne roads.

During the parade, Veterans Highway (Rt. 413) between E. Lincoln Highway (Rt. 1) and Trenton Road and Trenton Road between Veterans Highway and the MAA ball fields will be closed. Alternate routes are Durham Road and Bristol-Oxford Valley Road and E. Lincoln Highway and New Falls Road.

The parade lasts about one hour.
