Township attorney Mike Clarke said that if the grant is awarded, Pennsbury School District would be the beneficiary. Funding is being sought for a new Pennsbury High School.

To apply, the district was required to have a municipality “sign off on the grant” as a
local sponsor.

“There is no cost to the township,” Clarke said. “No liability.”
