New Family Dollar In Levittown To Open Thursday

There will be a grand opening celebration on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the store, on the former Save A Lot location on Haines Road.

LEVITTOWN, PA — A new Family Dollar store in Levittown is set to open on Thursday, company officials have announced.

In a press release Friday, Family Dollar said the store, at 1625 Haines Rd., will open its doors on Thursday, followed by a grand opening celebration on Saturday, Nov. 17

"Family Dollar is pleased to invite customers to experience our great value and broad assortment of merchandise in the Levittown community," said Heather Briganti, a Family Dollar spokeswoman. "Our customers can rely on Family Dollar for everyday low prices on household products, food, beauty and essentials, seasonal merchandise, apparel and much more."

The grand opening will include giveaways and prizes, including reusable shopping bags, cookies and a gift basket raffle. The first 50 customers on Saturday will receive a Family Dollar gift card.

The Levittown location is the former site of a Save A Lot grocery store that has been closed since 2012.

Currently, the nearest location of Family Dollar is on Brownsville Road in Trevose. There were formerly two Family Dollar locations in the Levittown area, but they both closed last year.

Headquartered near Charlotte, North Carolina, Family Dollar has more than 8,000 locations nationwide. Founded in 1959, it was bought out by discount retailer Dollar Tree in 2015.

Family Dollar carries household items at discount prices. Many items in the store are sold for $1 and almost everything in its inventory lists for less than $10.
