New Fire Marshal, Police Vehicles For Middletown Twp.

Middletown Township Supervisors also recently approved a License Plate Reader system for three intersections.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —The township has a new fire marshal while the police department has some new vehicles.

Middletown Township has announced the promotion of Firefighter Alan Welsh Jr. to the position of Fire Marshal.

Welsh has served in the township for the past eight years as a fire inspector, firefighter, and fire investigator.

Besides his work in Middletown Township, Welsh also serves the Nottingham Fire Department in Bensalem Township as a captain.

He holds an associate's degree in business management.

"We are excited for Alan to step into this new role and continue to dedicate himself to the safety and well-being of Middletown Township residents and businesses," township officials said.

Meanwhile, at a meeting earlier this month, the Board of Supervisors authorized the purchase of three new vehicles and one truck for the police department.

A License Plate Reader (LPR) System was also approved for installation at three township intersections.

The township's public works department is also getting a new dump truck.
