The borough said it had a great turnout for its Arbor Day celebration Saturday at Richardson House Community Park.

In addition to celebrating the Borough’s Tree City status, there was a tree dedication in memory of longtime and much-loved resident Arthur Sloan, who passed away in 2009.

Sloan served Langhorne in numerous ways, including as a member of the Shade Tree Commission, as a member of the Historic Architecture Review Board, and as vice president of the Historic Langhorne Association. He was the husband of Judy Sloan, owner of Judy's Corner on S. Bellevue Avenue.
