New Turf Falcon Field Debuts For Pennsbury High School

The Pennsbury School District made upgrades to its stadium in a $4.2 million project. The Falcons begin their home football season Thursday.

FALLSINGTON, PA —Falcon Field is ready to go.

After making its debut Wednesday when the Pennsbury field hockey team beat Truman High School 10-0, the newly-renovated field was hosting a second field hockey game, and the varsity football team Thursday night.

Falcon Field has a new artificial turf and excitement for a football team that once lost 17 straight games before rebounding last season and making the playoffs.

In April, Falls Township supervisors approved plans for the turf and a new eight-lane synthetic track.

The field is part of a $4.2 million stadium renovation project that included a new press box and bleachers, field house, concessions, and team rooms besides the new turf field.

The Falcons were taking on Central Bucks West Thursday night.

The Falcons won the 2022 SOL National Championship to earn a berth in Round 1 of the PIAA District 1 Football Playoffs. The team finished 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the SOL league.

Meanwhile, the school district has enacted some policies for attending sports games at the upgraded stadium.

They include:

  • Guests are not permitted to enter the stadium with backpacks, bags, coolers, or outside beverages. This includes sealed or unsealed containers.
  • No weapons of any kind.
  • All students in 8th grade or below must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • No re-entry once a spectator leaves the stadium
  • The PIAA forbids any spectator from displaying/using the following during an athletic contest: Posters or Signs, Artificial noise-making devices (air horns, speakers, drums, bullhorns, bells etc.)
