New Year's Eve Fire Under Investigation In Falls Township

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A New Year's Eve fire in the township's Levittown section is under investigation, fire officials said.

The Levittown Fire Company No. 1 responded to a report at 6:40 p.m. Sunday of a reported detached garage fire in the Pinewood section of the township around Pinewood Drive and Poplar Lane.

Arriving fire crews witnessed that there was heavy smoke through the roof and that the fire had spread to the home.

The fire company, along with multiple mutual aid companies, was in service for an extended period.

No injuries were reported.

The fire is being investigated by the Falls Township Fire Marshal’s Office.

The Morrisville Fire Company's Engine 98 assisted as firefighters completed various tasks for about two hours before the fire was contained.
