Official: Falls Township Police Officer Listed In Fair Condition

Officer Matthew Killeen is listed in fair condition after he sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash on May 11.

Falls Township Police Officer Matthew Killeen, a three-year veteran of the force, is listed in fair condition after , officials said. 

, police said. 

Killeen was heading eastbound on Tyburn Road when a vehicle traveling westbound crosed three lanes of traffic and struck the officer's vehicle, Falls Township Police's Henry Ward said. Killeen was trapped inside his vehicle when it caught fire.

Responding Officers B. Rhodunda and S. Langan pulled Killeen out of the wreckage to safety, Ward said. Killeen was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center. 

Police identified the other driver as 36-year-old Brian Etier, of Fairless Hills. He was also injured in the crash and transported to Saint Mary Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition.

Ward said the investigation into the crash is ongoing as they await results from a blood test taken from Etier.
