Oxford Valley Mall Store Closing Announced

Teen clothing retailer Rue21 announced it would be closing 400 stores, including its Oxford Valley Mall location. It was a "difficult but necessary decision," the Pennsylvania-based retailer said in a Facebook post.

In addition to the Oxford Valley Mall store, the following Philadelphia-area locations will be closing, according to the Rue21 website:

• Philadelphia Premium Outlets, Pottstown
• Richland Marketplace, Quakertown

According to The Associated Press, Rue21 is closing approximately one-third of its locations nationwide to focus on online sales.

Rue21 at the Franklin Mills Mall will remain open. It is not yet clear when exactly the Oxford Valley Mall Rue21 store will close.
