The Penndel-Hulmeville Memorial Day Parade will be held Saturday, May 26. The parade starts at 9 a.m. at Ford and Main streets in Hulmeville. The parade route is as follows: Ford to Main, Main to Bellevue, stop at Memorial for prayer, proceed up Bellevue to Hulmeville Ave, stop at Memorial for a prayer, go to Woodland Ave, then Woodland to Hulmeville, Hulmeville to the Penndel Memorial Ball Field, where a memorial service will be held. <a href="https://www.p-hmemorialparade.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Click here for more information.</a>

Medication Take Back Day is Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10 am - 2 pm! This year’s Take Back event will feature 48 public collection sites throughout the county. Simply walk or drive up and drop in any unused, unneeded or expired medications for safe disposal.

In addition to prescription medications, law enforcement officers will be collecting over-the-counter and pet medications, vitamins, vaping products and more. Plus, select sites throughout the county will be collecting medications and sharps and distributing Narcan on April 25! Bring your family and friends to the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 7 p.m. rain or shine. This free, family-friendly event will be held at Fireman’s Field Park and inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink at 250 South Nursery Avenue.

Enjoy a full day of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with an art exhibit, games, chalk art, and a variety of interactive activities. Browse offerings from local vendors featuring handcrafted goods, food, beverages, and more. There will be fun for all ages, including face painting, glitter tattoos, sidewalk chalk art, and t-shirt or tote bag decorating. Local non-profits will also be on-site sharing information and resources. Special activities will highlight and celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. 
Inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink—transformed into the Art Hall—you’ll find more than 30 works of art, live performances, art demonstrations, and hands-on activities including quilt square decorating and an Instrument Petting Zoo. Be sure to pick up a festival scavenger hunt booklet and complete it for a chance to win a prize!
