The Pennsbury School District will hold multiple meetings on the design of its new high school. Find out about the first meeting below.
FALLSINGTON, PA —With an architect now on board, the Pennsbury School District is moving into the design phase of its new high school project.
Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith sent an email to the school community Tuesday updating residents about the project for the new high school, which is expected to open in the winter of 2029.
Early last month, the school board selected KCBA Architects of Hatfield Borough in Montgomery County to design the new Pennsbury High School.

He said "multiple meetings" will be held for community members, students, and staff to provide input on the final design.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fallsington Auditorium, the Board of Directors will interview potential construction management firms who will oversee the high school project.
The school board meeting is open to the public and will be recorded. A decision is expected at the school board's May 16 meeting.
Smith said 12 community design meetings covering various topics will take place over the next six months. Dates and locations will be shared once they are confirmed.
The first community design meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on May 15 in the Pennsbury East Cafeteria for 90 minutes for residents to meet the architect and hear initial design discussions.
"Please take the opportunity to follow along or join us at one of the design meetings as we embark on this exciting journey for our community," Smith said.
The Pennsbury School Board voted 8-1 to build a new high school over renovating its West campus last year.
The vote authorized the school district to hire an architect and get the building going on a school that would open for the 2029 school year and may cost between $250 million and $277 million.
