Pennsbury School Board Vice President Defeated: Unofficial Results

FALLSINGTON, PA —Pennsbury School Board Vice President Gary Sanderson has lost his re-election bid in Tuesday's general election based on unofficial results from Tuesday's general election.

The longtime school board member finished fourth for three, four-year terms on the board that represents residents in Yardley, Lower Makefield Township, Falls Township, and Tullytown.

With 100 percent of Bucks County's 306 precincts reporting, Sanderson, a Republican, received 1,820 votes in Region 2 voting.

The top vote-getter was Democratic/Republican Donna Parto Abrescia, a longtime district bus driver who retired last year and also led among candidates in the May primary election.

Abrescia received 3,185 votes.

School Board members Jim Prokopiak (Democrat) and Sherwood David Taylor III (Democratic/Republican) received 2,762 votes and 2,826 votes respectively.

In Region 1, School Board President TR Kannan, running as a Democratic/Republican, garnered 7,438 votes. He was unopposed.

In Region 3, School Board member Jeannine Delwiche, a Democrat who was also running unopposed, received 5,372 votes.

Voter turnout in Bucks County was 42.4 percent.
