Pennsbury School Threat Under Investigation

Falls Township Police are investigating a social media threat that stated "Don't Come to School" at Pennsbury on Wednesday.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA —The social media message stated "Don't Come to School."

That anonymous threat that came through the Pennsbury School District via a report submitted through the Safe to Say system also allegedly showed a picture of a pistol on the unnamed social media platform, school officials said.

Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith and Pennsbury High School Principal Reggie Meadows sent out an email to the Pennsbury school community Wednesday stating that there was "no evidence to suggest that this is directed or related to Pennsbury.”

School officials said they did not see the pistol picture included with the threat and that no other details were provided to alert administrators about a threat in the district, which serves students from Yardley Borough, Falls Township, Lower Makefield Township, and Tullytown Borough.

Smith and Meadows said that the Falls Township Police Department was notified and is investigating the threat.

“We take every matter involving school security seriously, but we, along with local authorities, do not believe this is a credible statement or threat,” the administrators said.

As a precautionary measure, an additional police presence was provided at schools on Wednesday.

School officials said that parents and students should be reassured that they are committed to having a secure learning environment for students.
