Picket Lines Postpone Raising Cane's Opening In Fairless Hills
The Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce canceled ribbon cutting Tuesday morning after picketing reports at Commerce Boulevard location.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA —A ribbon-cutting event to launch the opening of Raising Cane's was canceled Tuesday morning due to picket lines that had formed outside the establishment.
"Looks like there’s a picket line out front," said Falls Township Supervisor Jeff Dence, who was planning on attending the ribbon cutting. "I won’t be crossing any picket lines."
The ribbon cutting was then canceled by the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce shortly following the supervisor's email.

Jude Martin-Cianfano, the chamber's director of events and membership, did not return a call or email about why the ribbon cutting was canceled.
The manager of the location on 640 Commerce Blvd. confirmed the picket lines and said that Raising Cane's would open at some point during the day.

She refused to give her name and said that any more information needed to be provided by the establishment's corporate headquarters.
Raising Cane's offers its popular chicken fingers at two locations in Philadelphia (Walnut Street and 12th Street) and one at State College. Another is expected to be coming soon in Bensalem Township.
The restaurant features two drive-thru lanes and will open at the corner of Oxford Valley Road and Commerce Boulevard, replacing Macaroni Grill. Falls Township supervisors signed off on the project last September.
Raising Cane's prides itself in offering a limited menu served "quickly and conveniently." It only offers chicken tenders, aside from their sides and drink menus.
