Police Chief Back Monday After Suspension In Falls Township: Report
Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney had been on administrative leave since late April.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney will be back on the job Monday.
According to published reports, the police chief will return Monday to lead the department, more than four months since he had been placed on administrative leave by the township.
Whitney had been placed on paid leave after a no-confidence vote by the Falls Township police union in late April.

Township officials had stated the reason was due to allegations about the "performance of his duties," the Bucks County Courier Times reported.
A call and email to police union president Officer Edward Elmore were not returned Friday.

Whitney began working with the Falls Police Department in 1988. He was appointed acting chief in September 2020 before assuming the post in January 2021.
