LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Giovanni's Dillicious Pickles will be closing one of its two Bucks County locations over the next month.

The popular pickles place — which also has a location in New Hope — will be closing its location at 802 Bristol Pike in Croydon, its owners said.

"It is with a heavy heart that I confirm our landlord has terminated our lease, effective in 30 days," the business posted on Facebook. "We fought incredibly hard to keep this location open, but due to ongoing discrepancies with the landlord, mishandling by the public adjuster, continued unsanitary conditions following the flood from a pipe that didn’t even belong to us, and the lack of payment from the insurance company, we are no longer financially able to sustain this location."

Giovanni's said it is "exploring every possible option and will continue to fight for what is right," but at this time the business said its landlord is unwilling to work with them on rent reduction despite circumstances that were completely beyond our control in her building.

Giovanni's said it never missed a rent payment in five years.

The Croydon business suffered a flood a few months ago that destroyed its refrigeration units as a result of the damage and conditions in the building.

The plan was always for New Hope to be its second location.

"While New Hope makes sense financially, my heart will always be tied to Croydon and Lower Bucks County," its owner said. "What started as a small business became something so much bigger. It became a community. It became friendships. It became family. This is not goodbye to Lower Bucks County."
