President, Vice President Unchanged On Bristol Twp. School Board

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bristol Township School Board recently held its reorganization meeting, swearing in six board members and naming a president and vice president for the upcoming year.

At its Dec. 4 reorganization meeting, the school district welcomed new board member Krystle Eakin-Chebly.

Returning board members Amanda Geist, Christopher Harkins, Donna Kelly, Constance Moore, and Gallus Obert were also sworn in as a result of the Nov. 7 general election.

James Morgan was elected as board president and Kellie Buchanan was elected as vice president.

Retired Judge Robert L. Wagner performed the oath of office duties.

Eakin-Chebly is an honorably discharged army veteran, who served active duty as a military police officer.

She is an honors graduate from Bucks County Community College with an associate’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, and currently assists her husband with his small business.

Eakin-Chebly has a son who attends school in the district and has been very active in the community with regard to involvement in youth athletics and volunteering at school book fairs and holiday shops.

“I look forward to dedicating my time to the school board, and helping students continue to be the main focus and working toward providing them the quality education they deserve,” Eakin-Chebly said.

The board then conducted its officer elections for the upcoming year.

Morgan was elected as president and Buchanan as vice president. Both served in the same position in 2023.

“We welcome Krystle to the Board of Directors and look forward to working together to continue to focus on student achievement and providing effective governance for the school district,” Morgan said. “Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season to the entire Bristol Township School Community.”

The school board will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
