FALLSINGTON, PA —The community will receive an update about the new Pennsbury High School project on Wednesday, school officials said.

"As we embark on the journey to create a new high school, community feedback is an important part of the process," Smith said.
The Pennsbury School Board voted 8-1 to build a new high school over making renovations to its West campus.

The vote authorized the school district to hire an architect and get the building going on a school that would open for the 2029 school year and may cost between $250 million and $277 million.
Requests for proposals were advertised in November, and interested architectural firms were asked to submit concepts for the new high school by Jan. 29, school officials said.
Smith said the school district received nine proposals. Of those, four were identified as finalists "who bring a unique vision and experience to the construction of a new high school."
The district has scheduled a public presentation where each finalist will showcase their proposals, allowing the community to learn about each firm’s approach and provide input.
The presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Pennsbury High School East Auditorium.
During the presentations, attendees will have access to feedback forms to share their thoughts and preferences regarding each proposal. The input received will play a role in helping the district make a final decision, ensuring that the chosen architect aligns with the needs and aspirations of our school community.
The school board had approved a 4.1 percent tax increase in its 2023-2024 school budget as a "downpayment" for a new high school.
Before that decision, school officials were weighing merger options with the Morrisville School District.
