FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Work is set to begin next week on a safety improvement project at two intersections in Falls Township.

Gov. Tom Wolf's office announced the projects on Friday as part of a plan to install 73 Americans With Disabilities act-compliant curb ramps at 18 intersections in Bucks County.

The work, which starts Monday, will be happening at the intersection of Big Oak Road and Trenton Avenue and at Trenton Avenue and Plaza Boulevard.

The work, on both is set to run from Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12. Work will be going on from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, with temporary lane closures planned at both locations. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because there will be slowdowns.

"The construction of these facilities represents PennDOT's ongoing commitment to upgrading and improving access and mobility for citizens," Wolf said in a news release. "Our goal is to improve and maintain safety for pedestrians and motorists alike."
