Route 1 Phase III Project Input Wanted In Langhorne Manor
The No Cloverleaf Coalition said the project would funnel traffic from the Route 1 superhighway through the heart of the historic district.
LANGHORNE, PA — The "No Cloverleaf Coalition" is seeking public input on Phase 3 of the Route 1 Traffic Improvements Project.
Independent Langhorne Manor candidates Dan Nicastro and Democrats Lynn Barry and Devin Keating, in recent days, have circulated an invitation for residents to share their thoughts regarding the planned US1/PA413 rebuild.
PennDOT’s current RC3 project includes a costly, unneeded cloverleaf interchange that would funnel traffic from the Route 1 superhighway onto PA 413 through the heart of the Langhorne Borough historic district.

The project also would remove service roads that parallel Route 1 through Langhorne Manor Borough and Middletown Township, resulting in significant increases in through traffic on local streets in those municipalities.
The No Cloverleaf Coalition was created to highlight the health, environmental, safety, traffic, historic and quality of life impacts that will result from the RC3 project, while supporting safety improvements to Route 1 itself.

Although PennDOT repeatedly has said that the project is “pre-decisional,” the No-Cloverleaf Coalition believes that it is essential for residents to convey their opinions on the project as soon as possible to their municipal governing bodies, to state elected officials, and to PennDOT.
Candidates backed by the "No Cloverleaf Coalition" captured eight of nine seats in Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor Borough, and Middletown Township races in November 2025.
More than 100 people attended an environmental public hearing on the project at the height of the December holiday season, with the vast majority of speakers expressing serious concerns about the RC3 project.
The handout asks recipients who have questions about the project or who have likes or concerns to reach out to the Langhorne Manor Borough secretary at borough-secretary@langhornemanor.org and/or the Langhorne Manor Borough manager at borough-manager@langhornemanor.org to request a public meeting.
Responses also can be sent directly to Nicastro at dnicastro@langhornemanor.org, Barry at lbarry@langhornemanor.org, and Keating at dmkeating@langhornemanor.org, as well as to other council members.
"Dan Nicastro, Lynn Barry and Devin Keating all were elected in large measure on the strength of their opposition to RC3's planned cloverleaf interchange and removal of the service roads," said the No Cloverleaf Coalition. "We are grateful to them for reaching out now to create much needed public engagement about this project."
