The transportation agency is seeking community feedback in Bucks and Montgomery counties for proposed changes to bus service that will be included along with the Bus Revolution team's ideas into an updated bus network.

That network, SEPTA said in a press release, is designed to be more reliable, easier to use, and more convenient for riders.

"Please be aware this is a draft and that we are getting public input," said John Golden, SEPTA's public information manager.

They include changes to the following bus routes in Lower Bucks County:

  • Bus Route #127 – This route is being replaced (in part) by proposed route 602 which originates at Neshaminy Mall and travels via Old Lincoln Road, Pine Road, Maple Avenue, through Oxford Valley Mall and then via Lincoln Highway into Trenton. Service has been discontinued on the jog the route does through Levittown. This would be a 30 Max route, meaning it would run AT LEAST every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., seven days a week.
  • Bus Route #128 – A portion of this route between Parx Casino and Neshaminy Mall will be served via a proposed Route 542 but the rest of the routing is proposed to become part of one of the two Microtransit zones proposed for this area. This is a new on-demand type of service that will function like Uber/Lyft for transit and take people to any point within a designated zone.
  • Bus Route #129 – Part of this route will be covered by proposed Route 604 between City Loop and Bristol Borough. Much of the rest of the routing is proposed to become part of one of the two Microtransit zones proposed for this area. This is a new on-demand type of service that will function like Uber/Lyft for transit and take people to any point within a designated zone.

During the forum, SEPTA will provide an overview of the Draft Network; highlight the key proposed changes for bus service in Bucks and Montgomery counties; and take questions and comment about how the network would impact area transportation.

The event is part of a series of area-based community conversations taking place this fall with each focusing on a different part of the region.
